Welcome to the Full Charge Ahead website. We are a retail company selling the very latest in electrically assisted bicycles, skateboards and associated accessories. Our aim is to become the No.1 recognized name for repair, servicing and supply of electric bicycles within the South Wales area.

We are working in partnership with a number of manufacturers and distributors and can currently supply and service the following makes:

Each bicycle comes supplied fully assembled with a full pre-delivery inspection confirmation sheet. We will maintain contact with you and will also carry out a free 300 mile / 6 month service inspection. Where possible we can pick up the bicycle from your place of work or home address and deliver back to you together with a service schedule. You won't get that level of service on any online only site!!

The three partners here at Full Charge Ahead are all experienced electrical engineers having between us some 70 years of practical knowledge. We are all cyclists both maintaining and riding various makes and models. Our experiences mean that we are able carry out a range of servicing on any make of electric bicycle from a puncture to an electric motor repair. We can also source batteries for many makes of electric bicycle. We also have a range of demonstrator bikes which we are more than happy to let you try so that whatever you buy meets your individual needs.

Our Electric Bikes are classed as pedal cycles with no requirement for Driving Licence, insurance or Road Tax and are legal for use on British & European Roads. (Some bikes are also fitted with an off road mode).

On a single battery charge some electric bikes can travel over 30 miles (on pedal assist mode) with a maximum permitted speed of 15mph under power.

With ever increasing fuel costs and a growing trend towards environmentally friendly products, electric bikes are an extremely cost effective method of transport.

Traffic congestion can be avoided often getting to your destination quicker than by public transport and parking charges are eliminated.

A good way to get exercise without the difficulty of hills, head winds etc and a much easier ride for people with health problems or those that want to return to cycling.

Here at Full Charge Ahead we have been working closely with a growing number of local and national firms to supply their employees with new bikes and equipment as part of the cycle to work scheme. Many of the above products can be supplied within the limits of the scheme and we can also supply other non-electric bicycles. This government initiative offers you as the employee the chance to purchase a bike through your employer on a salary sacrifice basis. This would normally be done over a 12 to 18 month period and could see you make a possible saving of up to 40%.

How Does It Work?

As part of the governments green transport plan this scheme is to encourage you the employee to use a more eco friendly means of transport. Once your employer has agreed and signed up to offer you this benefit, then it’s a very straight forward process in securing your chosen bike and safety equipment. Most customers chose to come in store and discuss with a member of our staff which sort of bike they require for their commute to work. One you have made your decision and chosen your goods, we can then fill out the appropriate quotation forms ready for you to submit. Whether your employer chooses to work direct with us, or to use one of the middle companies who specialise in working with independent cycle shops like ourselves the whole process of ordering your bike remains the same. All bikes bought through this scheme still come with the usual manufacturers warranties and are eligible for a first free service at Full Charge Ahead.
